Family-Friendly 3-Day Itinerary in Puri for July 2023

  1. Day 1: Jagannath Temple

  2. Day 2: Chilika Lake
    48 minutes (27.7 miles) from Jagannath Temple

    Morning: Take a day trip to Chilika Lake, which is the largest brackish water lagoon in Asia. You can take a boat ride and witness the beauty of the lake and the stunning views of the surrounding islands. You can also spot dolphins, migratory birds and other wildlife species.

    Afternoon: Visit the Alarnath Temple, which is dedicated to Lord Vishnu. The temple is surrounded by lush greenery and is a peaceful and serene place.

  3. Day 3: Puri Beach

Recommendations

You can visit the Raghurajpur Artist Village, which is a 20-minute drive from Puri. The village is famous for its Pattachitra paintings and other traditional handicrafts. You can also take a day trip to the nearby city of Bhubaneswar, which is known for its ancient temples and rich cultural heritage. Finally, you can try some of the local delicacies such as the seafood thali, rasgulla and chhena poda.
