2-Day Itinerary for Kurukshetra in July 2023

  1. Day 1: Jyotisar
    10 minutes (4.8 km) from Kurukshetra bus stand

    Visit the famous Jyotisar, the birthplace of the Bhagavad Gita, where Lord Krishna gave his divine knowledge to Arjun. In the morning, you can attend the morning aarti and take a dip in the Brahma Sarovar. In the afternoon, visit the Gita Museum and learn about the history and significance of the Bhagavad Gita. In the evening, attend the light and sound show that narrates the story of the Mahabharata and the Battle of Kurukshetra.

  2. Day 2: Sannihit Sarovar and Bhadrakali Temple
    20 minutes (10.4 km) from Jyotisar

    Start your day by visiting the Sannihit Sarovar, which is believed to be the meeting place of seven sacred Saraswatis. Take a dip in the holy waters and offer your prayers at the temple. In the afternoon, visit the Bhadrakali Temple, dedicated to the fierce form of Goddess Kali. The temple is situated on the banks of the Saraswati River and offers a serene atmosphere. In the evening, take a stroll on the banks of the river and enjoy the sunset.
