A 4-Day Itinerary for Vrindhavan in July 2023

  1. Day 1: Shri Bankey Bihari Temple
    15 minutes (1.5 miles) from Vrindavan Railway Station

    In the morning, visit the Shri Bankey Bihari Temple, which is dedicated to Lord Krishna. The temple opens at 7:45 am and offers a darshan of Lord Krishna in seven different dresses known as 'Saatvik Jhanki.' It's an experience worth witnessing. In the afternoon, head to the famous ISKCON Temple, which is 1.5 km from Bankey Bihari Temple. Here you can enjoy a delicious vegetarian meal at the Govinda's restaurant, followed by the afternoon arati at 4 pm. In the evening, visit the Yamuna river bank to witness the beautiful view of aarti of Yamuna.

  2. Day 2: Prem Mandir
    20 minutes (2.3 miles) from Shri Bankey Bihari Temple

    Spend the day at Prem Mandir, which is a beautiful monument of love dedicated to Lord Radha Krishna. The temple opens at 5:30 am, and it's the perfect time to witness the first arati of the day. After that, visit the nearby Kusum Sarovar, which is a historical pond surrounded by beautiful gardens. In the evening, go to Vrindavan Chandrodaya Mandir, which is a temple with a unique architecture. Witness the evening arati and the sound and light show.

  3. Day 3: Nidhivan and Radha Raman Temple
    15 minutes (1.2 miles) from Prem Mandir

    Begin the day by visiting Nidhivan, which is a sacred grove located in Vrindavan. It is believed that Lord Krishna appears here every night to perform Raas Leela with Radha Rani and his Gopis. Then, head to Radha Raman Temple, which is one of the oldest temples of Vrindavan. It is dedicated to Lord Krishna as Radha Ramana. The temple opens at 7:30 am, and you can witness the morning arati followed by the Prasadam distribution. Spend the afternoon at the nearby Seva Kunj and Nidhuban, which is a beautiful garden with a temple dedicated to Radha Krishna.

  4. Day 4: Rangaji Temple and Madan Mohan Temple
    20 minutes (1.9 miles) from Nidhivan

    Visit the Rangaji Temple in the morning, which is the largest temple in Vrindavan. It is dedicated to Lord Vishnu and has a unique architectural style. After that, head to the Madan Mohan Temple, which was built in the 16th century by Sanatana Goswami. The temple opens at 7 am, and you can witness the morning arati followed by the Prasadam distribution. Spend the afternoon at the nearby Radha Damodar Temple, which is one of the most revered temples of Vrindavan, with a rich history associated with the life of Jiva Goswami.

If you have time, do visit the nearby town of Mathura, which is considered one of the seven most sacred cities in India. Some of the must-visit places in Mathura include the Krishna Janmabhoomi temple, Dwarkadhish temple, and Kans Qila. You can also plan a day trip to Agra to witness the beauty of the Taj Mahal, which is just a two-hour drive from Vrindavan. Make sure to try the local delicacies like peda, lassi, and rabri at the various shops in Vrindavan.
