Sri Lanka's main international airport, Bandaranaike International Airport (CMB), is located in Katunayake, 35 km north of Colombo, the capital city of Sri Lanka. There is also the Mattala Rajapaksa International Airport (HRI), which is located in Hambantota, 32 km away from Yala National Park, but it has fewer international flights and may not be the best choice for all travelers.
