2-Day itinerary for Navi Mumbai in June 2023

  1. Day 1: Elephanta Caves

    In the morning, take a ferry from Gateway of India to Elephanta Caves. This UNESCO World Heritage site features rock-cut cave temples and sculptures dating back to the 5th century. Explore the main cave, also known as the Shiva Cave, which has a large sculpture of the Trimurti, a form of the Hindu Trinity. Enjoy a guided tour to learn about the history and significance of the caves. After lunch, take the ferry back to Gateway of India and head to Sanjay Gandhi National Park, a popular destination for nature lovers. End your day with a relaxing dinner at Dakshin Culture Curry.

  2. Day 2: Kharghar Hills
    30-minute drive from Navi Mumbai
    3-hour guided hike (closed during monsoon season)

    Start your day with a hike to the top of Kharghar Hills. This scenic trail offers stunning views of the surrounding hills and waterfalls. The 3-hour guided hike takes you through the lush green forest to the top of the hill, where you can enjoy panoramic views of the city. After the hike, head to Seawoods Grand Central Mall for some shopping and lunch. In the afternoon, visit the Karnala Bird Sanctuary, home to over 150 species of birds. End your day with a relaxing dinner at Barbeque Nation.
