3-Day Tour Guide to Manhattan, NY - June 2023

  1. Day 1: Central Park
    15 minutes (2.3 miles) from Times Square

    Morning: Start your day exploring Central Park, one of the most beautiful urban parks in the world. Take a walk around the lake, visit the Central Park Zoo or rent a bike and cycle through the park's many paths and trails.

    Afternoon: Head over to the Metropolitan Museum of Art, one of the world's largest art museums. Spend your afternoon exploring the galleries and exhibitions, such as the American Wing, the Egyptian Art or the European Paintings.

    Evening: Catch a Broadway show at the iconic Times Square. With many theaters to choose from, you'll be spoilt for choice. Don't forget to grab a bite to eat at one of the many restaurants nearby before the show starts.

  2. Day 2: Statue of Liberty & Ellis Island
    30 minutes (5.6 miles) from Central Park

    Morning: Catch an early ferry to the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island. Take a guided tour of the Statue of Liberty and learn about its history and significance as a symbol of freedom. Then head over to Ellis Island to learn about the immigrant experience in America.

    Afternoon: After returning from Ellis Island, explore the 9/11 Memorial & Museum. Learn about the events of September 11, 2001, and pay respects to the victims of the terrorist attacks.

    Evening: Explore the vibrant nightlife at Greenwich Village. With many bars and restaurants to choose from, you're bound to find something that suits your taste. Don't forget to stop by the iconic Stonewall Inn, the birthplace of the modern LGBTQ+ rights movement.

  3. Day 3: The High Line & Chelsea Market
    20 minutes (3.2 miles) from Greenwich Village

    Morning: Take a stroll along the High Line, a 1.45-mile-long elevated park built on a former railway line. Enjoy the beautiful views of the city skyline and the Hudson River.

    Afternoon: Head over to the Chelsea Market, a food hall and shopping mall in the Meatpacking District. Sample some of the best food in the city, from artisanal bread to fresh seafood.

    Evening: Catch a concert or show at the Madison Square Garden, one of the world's most famous arenas. With a capacity of 20,000, there's always something going on, from basketball games to rock concerts.

Recommendations

If you have extra time, consider visiting the Empire State Building, the One World Observatory or the Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum. Day trips to the Hamptons or the Hudson Valley are also great options.
