If you are looking for a day trip, head to Khandala, which is only a 30-minute drive from Lonavala. Khandala offers a beautiful view of the Western Ghats and is home to the famous Duke's Nose trek. Alternatively, you can also visit the Tikona Fort, which is a one-hour drive from Lonavala.
