2-Day Adventure Itinerary for Kudremukh in July 2023

  1. Day 1: Kudremukh National Park

    At Kudremukh National Park, spend the morning trekking to the Kudremukh Peak which is the third-largest peak in Karnataka. This peak is at an elevation of 6,214 ft and offers a breathtaking view of the surrounding hills, valleys, and waterfalls. After lunch, head to Hanuman Gundi Falls, a beautiful waterfall surrounded by lush greenery. Take a refreshing dip in its cool waters and enjoy the serenity of nature. In the evening, visit the Kudremukh Iron Ore Company Museum to learn about the history of mining in the region.

  2. Day 2: Jamalabad Fort
    1 hour 10 minutes (28 miles) from Kudremukh National Park

    Start your day early and go on a thrilling trek to the Jamalabad Fort, which is perched on a hilltop at an altitude of 1,782 ft. The trek is challenging, but the views of the valleys and mountains are worth the effort. After the trek, head to Sringeri Sharada Peetham, a prominent Hindu monastery, for lunch. In the evening, take a peaceful stroll by the banks of the Tunga River and watch the sunset.
