Wander through the park and see the animals, including wolves, bears, and even anteaters. There are also opportunities to see birds of prey, and the neighboring Camperdown Park is lovely for outdoor activities.

    10 minutes (3.3 miles) from Camperdown Wildlife Centre

    The Dundee Law is a famous landmark and is the perfect spot to soak in the panoramic view of Dundee. The hilltop is accessible by car, but there is a pathway that leads to the top for those who enjoy hiking. The hilltop offers a stunning view of the city and beyond, including the neighboring Firth of Tay.

  • 1:00 PM: Balgay Park
    5 minutes (1.5 miles) from Dundee Law

    Balgay Park offers a picturesque location with Victorian Gardens, woodland, and wildlife. There are various paths to venture around, and you may spot squirrels, rabbits, or even deer on your walk. The park is home to two stunning greenhouses dating back to the 19th century, and there is also a fantastic playpark for children.

Transportation

The best way to see Dundee's natural beauty is by car, as most of the locations require driving to get there. The journey from one location to the next will take approximately 15-30 minutes. Car rental prices start from £22 a day, but it's better to check and book in advance.

Useful Tips

If you have more time, visit the nearby Caird Park, which has an excellent play area for children, nature walks, a golf course, and a lovely cafe. If you're looking to add a bit of Dundee's history to your day, the Discovery Point Museum tells the story of RRS Discovery and Captain Scott's expedition to the South Pole. If you have less time, we recommend visiting only two locations from the itinerary.

Airports

Dundee Airport (DND) is the main airport in the city and located just 4.2 miles from the city center. The airport hosts daily scheduled flights to London Stansted and Amsterdam Schiphol airport. Taxis from the airport to the city center cost £17, but there is also a regular bus service that runs from the airport to the city center and costs around £3-£5.
