If you have time, consider taking a day trip to Barsana, a small town near Mathura that is famous for its Lathmar Holi festival. You can also visit the Fatehpur Sikri, a deserted city near Agra that was once the capital of the Mughal empire. To maximize your fun, try to learn some Hindi phrases and interact with the locals.
