Kedarnath and Badrinath 7-Day Itinerary for September 2023

  1. Day 1: Arrive in Dehradun and Drive to Kedarnath
    6 hours (148 miles) from Dehradun Airport

    After your arrival in Dehradun, we will drive to Kedarnath. Upon arrival, we will check into our hotel and acclimate to the high altitude. In the afternoon, we will visit Kedarnath Temple and explore the surrounding area. In the evening, we will enjoy a traditional dinner.

  2. Day 2: Kedarnath

    We will start the day early with a visit to Kedarnath Temple to attend the morning aarti. After a hearty breakfast, we will trek to Gandhi Sarovar and Vasuki Tal, two picturesque high altitude lakes. In the evening, we will return to our hotel for dinner and rest.

  3. Day 3: Drive to Badrinath via Joshimath
    6 hours (112 miles) from Kedarnath

    After breakfast, we will drive to Badrinath, stopping en route at Joshimath to visit Narsimha Temple and Shankaracharya Math. In the evening, we will arrive at Badrinath and check into our hotel. Dinner will be served at the hotel.

  4. Day 4: Badrinath

    In the morning, we will visit Badrinath Temple to attend the morning aarti. After breakfast, we will take a dip in Tapt Kund, a natural hot spring. Next, we will visit Mana Village, the last village before the Indo-Tibetan border, and explore the caves and rock formations. In the evening, we will return to the hotel for dinner and rest.

  5. Day 5: Badrinath to Auli
    1 hour (10 miles) from Badrinath

    After breakfast, we will drive to Auli, known for its skiing slopes and scenic beauty. We will take a cable car ride to Auli and enjoy panoramic views of the Himalayas. In the afternoon, we will visit Gurso Bugyal, a high altitude meadow, and enjoy a picnic lunch. In the evening, we will return to our hotel in Auli for dinner and rest.

  6. Day 6: Auli to Rishikesh
    8 hours (170 miles) from Auli

    After breakfast, we will drive to Rishikesh, the yoga capital of the world. Upon arrival, we will check into our hotel and visit Neelkanth Mahadev Temple, a famous Shiva temple. In the afternoon, we will enjoy a river rafting adventure on the Ganges River and explore the local markets. In the evening, we will attend the Ganga Aarti ceremony at Triveni Ghat. Dinner will be served at the hotel.

  7. Day 7: Rishikesh to Dehradun
    1 hour (19 miles) from Rishikesh

    After breakfast, we will drive to Dehradun and visit Robber's Cave, a natural limestone cave formation. In the afternoon, we will explore the Rajaji National Park and enjoy a wildlife safari. In the evening, we will depart for Dehradun Airport for your flight back home.
