Motorcycle Riding Itinerary from Chennai to Kolkata to Ladakh in May 2024

  1. Day 1: Chennai, Tamil Nadu to Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh
    11 hours (430 miles) from Chennai

    Start the day early and ride along the beautiful East Coast Road, enjoy the scenic views of the Bay of Bengal. Stop by Mahabalipuram to grab some breakfast and explore the UNESCO World Heritage sites. Continue the journey towards Pondicherry and visit the Aurobindo Ashram. Next stop is the city of Kakinada, and then ride towards Visakhapatnam, a city surrounded by hills and beaches. In the late afternoon, visit the INS Kursura Submarine Museum and the Kailasagiri Hill Park. End the day by taking a stroll along the Ramakrishna Beach and enjoy the sunset.

  2. Day 2: Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh to Puri, Odisha

    Take a day off from riding and explore the beautiful city of Leh. Visit the Shanti Stupa, Leh Palace, and the Leh Market. Acclimate to the high altitude by taking some rest and drinking plenty of fluids. Spend the evening enjoying a cup of butter tea and some local Ladakhi cuisine.

  7. Day 7: Leh, Ladakh to Nubra Valley, Ladakh

    Start early and ride towards the Nubra Valley, which is known for its beautiful monasteries and sand dunes. Visit the Diskit Monastery and the Hunder Sand Dunes. Enjoy a camel ride and spend some time admiring the beauty of the valley. Spend the night camping in the valley and stargazing.
