Bangalore to Dharmasthala Itinerary

  1. Day 1: Bangalore to Yediyur (Siddheshwara Temple)

    In the morning, we will leave Bangalore and travel to Yediyur. Yediyur is known for the Siddheshwara Temple, a beautiful temple with intricate carvings and a peaceful atmosphere. Afternoon can be spent exploring the town, shopping for local handicrafts, and savoring the authentic Kannadiga cuisine at the local restaurants. In the evening, we will return to the temple for the evening aarti, a beautiful ceremony where the priests offer prayers and light lamps.

  2. Day 2: Yediyur to Kukke Subramanya Temple
    3.5 hours (125 km) from Yediyur

    After breakfast, we will drive to the Kukke Subramanya Temple, which is dedicated to Lord Subramanya. The temple is located in the beautiful Western Ghats and is surrounded by lush greenery. In the morning, you can witness the unique Sevas offered to the deity at the temple. Afternoon can be spent trekking in the nearby hills or visiting the nearby Adi Subramanya Temple. In the evening, we will attend the Sarpa Samskara Seva, which is a special puja performed for those who want to get rid of the Sarpa Dosha.

  3. Day 3: Kukke Subramanya Temple to Dharmasthala

    In the morning, we will visit the Kukke Subramanya Temple again to witness the Panchamruta Abhisheka, a special offering made to Lord Subramanya. After that, we will drive to Dharmasthala, a beautiful temple town located on the banks of the Netravati River. Afternoon can be spent exploring the town, visiting the Manjusha Museum, and shopping for souvenirs. In the evening, we will attend the evening aarti at the Sri Manjunatha Swamy Temple, which is famous for its gold-plated gopuram and intricate carvings.

  4. Day 4: Dharmasthala
    Full day at Dharmasthala

    In the morning, we will visit the Sri Manjunatha Swamy Temple again to witness the Abhisheka Seva, a special offering made to Lord Shiva. After that, we will visit the Bahubali Statue, which is one of the tallest monolithic statues in the world. Afternoon can be spent visiting the nearby Annapoorneshwari Temple or visiting the nearby Shri Kshetra Kateel Durga Parameshwari Temple. In the evening, we will attend the Yakshagana performance, a traditional dance-drama that is unique to the coastal regions of Karnataka.
