Tirumala 3-Day Itinerary in June 2023

  1. Day 1: Srivari Padalu
    10 minutes (3.5 km) from Tirumala Bus Station

    In the morning, visit the Srivari Padalu which is believed to be the footsteps of Lord Venkateshwara when he first stepped on Tirumala. The site offers a panoramic view of the surrounding hills. In the afternoon, head to the nearby ISKCON temple that offers a peaceful atmosphere and a chance to learn about Lord Krishna. In the evening, visit the Teertham waterfalls for a refreshing swim.

  2. Day 2: Sri Venkateshwara Temple
    5 minutes (1.5 km) from Tirumala Bus Station

    The Sri Venkateshwara Temple is the main attraction of Tirumala. It is one of the most visited pilgrimage sites in the world and is believed to be the richest temple. Start your day early to avoid long queues and witness the beautiful sunrise over the hills. In the afternoon, head to the nearby Papavinasanam dam which also offers a picturesque view of the hills. End your day with a visit to the Akashganga waterfalls.

  3. Day 3: Sri Kapileswara Swamy Temple
    30 minutes (15 km) from Tirumala Bus Station

    In the morning, visit the Sri Kapileswara Swamy Temple which is dedicated to Lord Shiva. It is believed to be the site where Lord Shiva gave darshan to Sage Kapila. The temple is surrounded by beautiful hills and is a peaceful place to start the day. In the afternoon, visit the Tumbhuru Teertham waterfalls which are believed to have medicinal properties. End your day with a visit to the Sri Venugopala Swamy Temple which is also located nearby.

Recommendations

If you have the time, consider visiting the Sri Varahaswami Temple and the Sri Bedi Anjaneya Swamy Temple which are also popular pilgrimage sites in Tirumala. For a day trip, consider visiting the Sri Kalahasti temple which is located about 40 km from Tirumala. It is one of the Pancha Bhoota Sthalams and is famous for its architecture and history. To maximize your fun, try some of the local delicacies such as the Laddu, Puliogare, and Dosas.
