4-Day Bangalore to Wayanad Itinerary in August 2023

  1. Day 1: Bangalore to Wayanad
    6 hours (280 km) from Bangalore

    In the morning, we will start our journey from Bangalore to Wayanad. Wayanad is a beautiful hill station located in the Western Ghats. The drive from Bangalore to Wayanad is very scenic, with lush green forests and tea plantations en route. Once we reach Wayanad, we will check into our hotel and freshen up. In the afternoon, we will visit the Edakkal Caves. These caves are famous for their prehistoric rock paintings and carvings. In the evening, we will head to the Pookode Lake. This is a beautiful freshwater lake surrounded by forests and hills.

  2. Day 2: Wayanad Wildlife Sanctuary
    1 hour (30 km) from Pookode Lake

    In the morning, we will head towards the Wayanad Wildlife Sanctuary. This sanctuary is home to a variety of animals like tigers, elephants, leopards, and deer. We will explore the sanctuary through a jeep safari and spot some wildlife. In the afternoon, we will visit the Soochipara Waterfalls. These waterfalls are surrounded by lush green forests and are a great spot for photography. In the evening, we will return to our hotel and relax.

  3. Day 3: Banasura Sagar Dam and Karapuzha Dam

  4. Day 4: Wayanad to Bangalore

    In the morning, we will check out from our hotel and start our journey back to Bangalore. On the way, we will visit the Muthanga Wildlife Sanctuary. This sanctuary is home to a variety of animals like elephants, deer, and monkeys. We will explore the sanctuary through a jeep safari and spot some wildlife. In the afternoon, we will have lunch at a local restaurant and then continue our journey towards Bangalore.
