Transportation

Travel between destinations by car, ferry or public transportation. Estimated travel costs are around €300. Journey times are indicated in each day's itinerary. Consider renting a car to have more flexibility and ease of movement within each destination.

Useful Tips

If you have extra time, visit the island of Naxos, known for its beautiful beaches and traditional villages. Alternatively, if you have less time, consider spending more time in Athens or exploring the island of Crete in more depth. Note that some of the archaeological sites may be closed on public holidays, so plan accordingly.

Airports

Greece's largest airport is "Eleftherios Venizelos" (ATH), located near Athens. It is served by many international airlines, and is the hub for Greece's national carrier, Aegean Airlines. The airport is located about 33 km (20 miles) east of Athens city center.
