4-Day Itinerary for Ujjain

  1. Day 1: Mahakaleshwar Jyotirlinga
    10 minutes (2 km) from Ujjain Junction Railway Station

    Start your day by visiting Mahakaleshwar Jyotirlinga, one of the twelve Jyotirlingas in India. The temple opens at 4:00 AM. Witness the unique Bhasma Aarti and seek blessings of Lord Shiva.   2. Day 2: Kaliadeh Palace and Vedh Shala Observatory
    20 minutes (5 km) from Mahakaleshwar Jyotirlinga

    Visit the Kaliadeh Palace, an ancient sun temple located on the banks of Shipra River. You can enjoy a boat ride and witness the beautiful sunset. Afterward, you can visit Vedh Shala Observatory, which is one of the oldest observatories in India. Witness the astronomical instruments and learn about ancient Indian astronomy.

  3. Day 3: Kal Bhairav Temple and Ram Ghat

  4. Day 4: Sandipani Ashram and Mangalnath Temple
    30 minutes (6 km) from Kal Bhairav Temple

    Visit the Sandipani Ashram, where Lord Krishna and Sudama received education from Guru Sandipani. Witness the beautiful architecture and the serene atmosphere. Later, you can visit Mangalnath Temple, one of the eight Navagraha temples in India. The temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva and is located on the top of a hill.
