3-Day Itinerary for Kerala in July 2023

  1. Day 1: Fort Kochi
    45 minutes (22.4 km) from Cochin International Airport

    In the morning, visit the iconic Chinese fishing nets, which have been in use since the 14th century. Then head to St. Francis Church, the oldest European church in India, where Vasco da Gama was originally buried. In the afternoon, explore the Mattancherry Palace also known as the Dutch Palace, built by the Portuguese and gifted to the Maharaja of Kochi. End your day with a Kathakali show, a traditional dance-drama form unique to Kerala.

  2. Day 2: Munnar
    4 hours 20 minutes (130.3 km) from Fort Kochi

    Spend the morning driving up to Munnar, a scenic hill station known for its tea plantations. Once you arrive, visit the Tea Museum to learn about the history and production of tea. Enjoy a light lunch at a local restaurant before heading to the Eravikulam National Park to see the endangered Nilgiri Tahr. End your day watching the sunset at the Top Station viewpoint.

  3. Day 3: Alleppey
    3 hours 30 minutes (155 km) from Munnar

    Start your day with a morning houseboat cruise through the backwaters of Alleppey, known as the Venice of the East. Have a traditional Kerala-style lunch on the boat while you take in the stunning views. In the afternoon, visit the Alappuzha Beach to relax before heading back to Kochi.
