We suggest visiting the Ggantija Temples, which are some of the world's oldest manmade structures, and the Azure Window, a breathtaking rock formation that's quickly becoming a legend.
Marsaxlokk is a traditional fishing village famous for its Sunday market where you can purchase fresh produce, seafood, and artisan crafts. Visit the historic St. Peter's Pool, a natural swimming pool, or take a stroll through the village to see the colorful traditional Maltese fishing boats known as 'Luzzus'.
Malta is a small island, but there are various modes of transportation available. We recommend using public transportation which is cheap and efficient. Visitors also have the option of renting a car or taking a taxi. The cost of renting a car starts at €15 per day and taxi services range from €10-€30 per journey.
If you have more time, visit the Blue Lagoon or take a boat tour around the island. If you have less time, consider seeing either Valletta or Mdina in a half day and spending the remainder of the day at a nearby beach like Golden Bay or St. Peter's Pool.
The only international airport in Malta is Malta International Airport (MLA) located in Luqa, approximately 8 km from Valletta. The airport is accessible by taxi, bus or car rental, with taxis being the most convenient option.
