Two-Day Itinerary for Nature Lovers in Chikkamagaluru, Karnataka in July 2023

If you love nature, then Chikkamagaluru is the perfect place for you to visit. This town is surrounded by rolling hills, lush green forests, beautiful waterfalls, and coffee plantations. Here is a two-day itinerary that will take you through some of the most spectacular natural landscapes in Chikkamagaluru.

  1. Day 1: Mullayanagiri
    30 minutes (12.4 miles) from Chikkamagaluru

    Start your day with a visit to Mullayanagiri, the highest peak in Karnataka. The trek to the top of the hill is a bit challenging, but the panoramic views of the surrounding valleys and hills are worth it. After reaching the summit, spend some time taking in the breathtaking views. In the afternoon, visit the nearby Bhadra Wildlife Sanctuary, which is home to several endangered species, including tigers, elephants, and leopards. Take a jeep safari through the sanctuary and enjoy spotting the wildlife in their natural habitat. In the evening, relax and unwind at one of the many coffee plantations in Chikkamagaluru.

  2. Day 2: Hebbe Falls
    2 hours (37.6 miles) from Chikkamagaluru

    Start your day early and drive to Hebbe Falls, one of the most beautiful waterfalls in Karnataka. The drive to the falls is scenic, and you will pass through dense forests and coffee plantations. Once you reach the falls, take a dip in the cool and refreshing waters. After spending a few hours at the falls, head back and visit the Kudremukh National Park, which is known for its lush green forests and diverse wildlife. Take a guided trek through the park and enjoy the beautiful scenery. In the evening, head back to Chikkamagaluru and relax at your hotel.
