Exploring Chikmagalur in July 2023

  1. Day 1: Hirekolale Lake

    Hirekolale Lake is a serene location surrounded by lush greenery and provides a perfect place for a morning picnic. You can also go for a boat ride or just enjoy the beautiful scenery.   2. Day 2: Mullayanagiri and Baba Budangiri

    Start your day with a trek to Mullayanagiri, the highest peak in Karnataka, and enjoy the scenic view of the Western Ghats. Then visit Baba Budangiri, a sacred place for both Hindus and Muslims.     1 hour 45 minutes (70 km) from Mullayanagiri and Baba Budangiri

    Take a day trip to Kudremukh National Park and enjoy the scenic beauty of the Western Ghats. Trek through the lush green forests and spot some rare flora and fauna like Malabar pied hornbills, giant squirrels, and bison. In the afternoon, visit the nearby Hanuman Gundi waterfalls and take a refreshing dip. In the evening, enjoy a cup of coffee at one of the many cafes in the park.
