3-Day Motorcycle Riding Itinerary in Kushalnagar - July 2023

  1. Day 1: Dubare Elephant Camp
    20 minutes (8.3 miles) from Kushalnagar

    Start your day with an early morning visit to the Dubare Elephant Camp, an elephant training camp situated on the banks of the Cauvery River. Spend the morning watching the elephants getting bathed, fed and trained. Enjoy an elephant back ride in the lush green forests nearby. In the afternoon, go for rafting in the river or trekking in the nearby forest. In the evening, witness the camp's unique elephant interaction programme.

  2. Day 2: Namdroling Monastery
    15 minutes (4 miles) from Dubare Elephant Camp

    Start your day with a peaceful visit to the Namdroling Monastery, also known as the Golden Temple. The temple complex is home to over 5000 monks and nuns, making it one of the largest Tibetan settlements in India. Observe the morning prayers, explore the temple complex, and get acquainted with Tibetan culture. In the afternoon, ride up to Nisargadhama Island, an island formed by river Cauvery offering picturesque locations to take a dip and spend some time with family. In the evening, ride back to Namdroling Monastery to witness the evening prayers.

  3. Day 3: Harangi Dam
    25 minutes (12.6 miles) from Namdroling Monastery

    On your final day, ride to Harangi Dam, located on the river Cauvery in the Kodagu district. The dam's serene and scenic beauty has made it a popular picnic spot among locals. Enjoy boating in the dam or take a walk on the dam's wall and feel the breeze. In the afternoon, ride to Chiklihole Dam, another picturesque dam, to unwind in the lap of nature. In the evening, ride back to Kushalnagar.
