Shoestring Budget Itinerary for 3 Days in Goa (August 2023)

  1. Day 1: Anjuna Beach
    1 hour (18.3 km) from Goa International Airport

    Morning: Start your day at Anjuna Beach, famous for its Wednesday Flea Market. Take a dip or sunbathe on the beach while enjoying fresh fruit juice from one of the many vendors. The market opens at 8 am, so stroll through and grab some souvenirs or try some local street food.

    Afternoon: Head to St. Anthony's Chapel which is just 3 km from Anjuna Beach. This 200-year-old chapel is a perfect place for some peace and quiet.

    Evening: End the day at Curlies Shack, just 5 km away. Enjoy some live music, cocktails and delicious seafood while watching the sunset.

  2. Day 2: Aguada Fort
    50 minutes (15.5 km) from Anjuna Beach

    Morning: Start your day at the famous Aguada Fort. The fort was built by the Portuguese in the early 1600s to defend against the Dutch and Marathas. Take a walk through the fort and enjoy the stunning view of the sea.

    Afternoon: Head to Sinquerim Beach which is just 3 km from the fort for some water sports activities like Jet Skiing, Parasailing, Banana ride and more.

    Evening: End the day at Britto's which is just 5 km away. They have some of the best seafood in Goa and also offer live music.

  3. Day 3: Dudhsagar Falls
    2 hours 15 minutes (76 km) from Aguada Fort

    Morning: Start your day early at 6 am and head to Dudhsagar Falls, located on the Goa-Karnataka border. The falls are at their best during monsoon season. Trek through the dense forest and enjoy the breathtaking view of the falls.

    Afternoon: Visit the spice plantations nearby and learn about the different spices and herbs used in Indian cuisine.

    Evening: End the day at Martin's Corner, located 55 km away. They have delicious Goan cuisine and live music.

Recommendations

If you have more time in Goa, then you can also visit the famous Baga Beach, Calangute Beach, and the Basilica of Bom Jesus, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

You can also take a day trip to the Dudhsagar Waterfall and the Tambdi Surla Temple.

To maximize your fun, try some of the local street food like Vada Pav, Prawn Curry and Chicken Xacuti. You can also rent a bike and explore the city on your own.
