Discovering Goa in July 2023

  1. Day 1: Visit the Basilica of Bom Jesus and Sé Cathedral
    16 minutes (6.5 kilometers) from Goa International Airport

    Start your day by visiting the Basilica of Bom Jesus, a UNESCO World Heritage site, and one of the most famous landmarks of Goa. Inside the church, you will find the tomb and mortal remains of Saint Francis Xavier. After the Basilica, head over to Sé Cathedral, one of the largest churches in Asia, and admire its Portuguese-Gothic architecture. It houses the Golden Bell, one of the largest in the world.

  2. Day 2: Visit the Dudhsagar Waterfalls and Bondla Wildlife Sanctuary
    2 hours 10 minutes (68 kilometers) from Day 1's last location

    Start your day early and visit the Dudhsagar Waterfalls, one of the tallest waterfalls in India. It's a scenic 60-kilometer drive from Panaji. Take a dip in the natural pool at the bottom of the waterfall and enjoy the lush green surroundings. After lunch, head over to the Bondla Wildlife Sanctuary, home to a wide variety of flora and fauna. Take a guided tour of the park and explore the animal enclosures, butterfly garden, and nature trails.

  3. Day 3: Enjoy the beaches of Goa
    1 hour 30 minutes (51 kilometers) from Day 2's last location

    On your last day, enjoy the beaches of Goa, some of the best in India. Start with Anjuna Beach, known for its stunning sunsets, live music, and flea market. After lunch, head over to Vagator Beach, one of the most scenic beaches in Goa. Enjoy the stunning views of the Arabian Sea and the Chapora Fort. End your day at Palolem Beach, known for its white sand and calm waters. Take a swim or a kayak ride, and enjoy a refreshing cocktail at one of the beachside shacks.
