Two-Day Isfahan Itinerary

  • Day 1: Naghsh-e Jahan Square
    15 minutes (3 miles) from Isfahan Kaveh Terminal

    Start your trip by visiting Naghsh-e Jahan Square, also known as Imam Square, located in the center of the city. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is surrounded by some of the most famous landmarks in Iran such as the Ali Qapu Palace, the Sheikh Lotfollah Mosque, and the magnificent Imam Mosque. Spend your afternoon exploring the intricate tile work and calligraphy in these buildings before enjoying dinner at a local restaurant.

  • Day 2: Zayanderud River Bridges and Si-o-se-pol Bridge
    25 minutes (6.6 miles) from Naghsh-e Jahan Square

    In the morning, head to the Zayanderud River Bridges, a historical bridge complex over the Zayanderud River. Take a stroll along the river and admire the beautiful scenery before visiting the Si-o-se-pol Bridge, the largest of the eleven bridges in the complex. This bridge is especially beautiful at sunset, so plan your visit accordingly. End your day by trying some Iranian street food at a nearby food stall.

If you have more time, consider visiting Chehel Sotoun Palace and the Vank Cathedral. If you have less time, skip one of the bridges or the Ali Qapu Palace.
