4-Day Goa Itinerary for Shoestring Budget Travelers in July 2023

  1. Day 1: Explore the Beaches of North Goa
    30 minutes (10.6 miles) from Goa International Airport

    Start your day at Arambol Beach, the northernmost beach in Goa. You can go for a swim or try paragliding here. Later, head to the nearby Kalacha Beach, a relatively unexplored beach with a freshwater lagoon. In the afternoon, head to Vagator Beach, known for its red cliffs and stunning sunsets. End your day at Anjuna Beach, famous for its flea market and nightlife.

  2. Day 2: Visit Old Goa and Panaji
    1 hour (15.7 miles) from Anjuna Beach

    Start your morning by visiting the Basilica of Bom Jesus, a UNESCO World Heritage site and one of the oldest churches in India. After that, visit the Se Cathedral, the largest church in Asia. In the afternoon, head to the Fontainhas neighborhood in Panaji, the capital of Goa. This area is known for its Portuguese-style colorful buildings and street art. Later, visit the Immaculate Conception Church, one of the most famous landmarks of Goa. End your day with a boat ride on the Mandovi River.

  3. Day 3: Relax at South Goa Beaches

    Start your day at Palolem Beach, known for its calm waters and scenic beauty. You can also try kayaking here. Later, head to Cola Beach, a secluded beach with a freshwater lagoon. In the afternoon, head to Agonda Beach, known for its turtle nesting site and tranquil atmosphere. End your day at Benaulim Beach, a beautiful beach with shacks serving delicious seafood.

  4. Day 4: Dudhsagar Waterfall and Spice Plantation

    Start your day early and head to the Dudhsagar Waterfall, one of the tallest waterfalls in India. You can take a refreshing dip in the pool at the bottom of the waterfall.
