Exploring Vizag in June 2023

  1. Day 1: Rushikonda Beach
    30 minutes (12.5 km) from Vizag Airport

    Start your day at Rushikonda Beach, the most popular beach in Vizag. Enjoy the beautiful sunrise and go for a swim in the sea. You can also indulge in water sports like jet skiing, parasailing and banana boat rides. In the afternoon, explore the nearby Kailasagiri Hill Park and enjoy the stunning panoramic view of the city from the ropeway. In the evening, visit the INS Kurusura Submarine Museum, which showcases the first submarine used by the Indian Navy.

  2. Day 2: Araku Valley
    3 hours (115 km) from Rushikonda Beach

    Take a day trip to the picturesque Araku Valley. Enjoy the scenic beauty of the Eastern Ghats, coffee plantations, and waterfalls. You can also visit the Borra Caves, which are one of the largest caves in India. On the way back, visit the tribal museum to learn about the local culture and traditions.

  3. Day 3: Simhachalam Temple
    20 minutes (11 km) from Vizag Railway Station

    Visit the famous Simhachalam Temple, dedicated to Lord Narasimha, an incarnation of Lord Vishnu. The temple has a stunning architecture and is surrounded by beautiful gardens. In the afternoon, visit the Indira Gandhi Zoological Park, which has a wide variety of animals and birds. In the evening, head to the famous Jagadamba Centre for shopping and street food.

  4. Day 4: Yarada Beach

In the afternoon, visit the Visakha Museum, which showcases the history and culture of Vizag. In the evening, head to the Rishikonda Beach for a beautiful sunset view.
