The Ooty Botanical Gardens are a perfect morning stroll with a variety of plants and flowers on view. The gardens are divided into various sections, including a fossil tree trunk that is over 20 million years old. The glasshouse, inspired by the Crystal Palace in London, has a collection of rare plants, ferns, and orchids. In the evening, we will go to the Doddabetta Peak for sunset views.

  2. Day 2: Wayanad Wildlife Sanctuary
2 hours (65 km) from Ooty Botanical Gardens

Located in the Western Ghats, the Wayanad Wildlife Sanctuary is home to a variety of animals, including tigers, elephants, and leopards. We will begin with a morning jeep safari through the park, followed by a visit to the Edakkal Caves. The caves are known for their prehistoric rock carvings and provide a unique insight into the history of the area. After lunch, we will visit the Soochipara Waterfalls for a refreshing dip in the natural pool.

  3. Day 3: Banasura Sagar Dam
1 hour 30 minutes (50 km) from Wayanad Wildlife Sanctuary

Banasura Sagar Dam is the largest earthen dam in India and is surrounded by the Banasura Hills. In the morning, we will explore the dam and take a boat ride on the reservoir. After lunch, we will visit the Pookode Lake for a relaxing afternoon. The freshwater lake is surrounded by forests and is a great spot for birdwatching. In the evening, we will drive to the Lakkidi Viewpoint for sweeping views of the valley and sunset.
