3-Day Adventure Itinerary in Koorg in July 2023

  1. Day 1: Experience the Thrill of Nature
    15 minutes (5.7 miles) from Koorg

    Wake up early and head to the Dubare Elephant Camp. You will be picked up by a trained naturalist who will take you on a guided tour of the camp. Witness the elephants enjoying their morning baths and feeding. After breakfast, you can take a river rafting trip down the Cauvery River. You will be given the necessary safety equipment and a trained professional will accompany you. After lunch, head to the Brahmagiri Wildlife Sanctuary. Trek through the lush green forest and spot some exotic wildlife. End your day relaxing by the Iruppu Falls.

  2. Day 2: Explore the Culture and Heritage of Koorg
    25 minutes (12 miles) from Iruppu Falls

    Start your day with a visit to the Namdroling Monastery. You can witness the morning prayer and learn about the Tibetan culture and traditions. Next, head to the Madikeri Fort. This historical fort was built in the 17th century and offers a stunning view of the town. After lunch, visit the Raja's Seat. This garden is a popular spot for watching the sunset. End your day with a visit to the Omkareshwara Temple, a beautiful mix of Islamic and Gothic architecture.

  3. Day 3: Trek to the Top of Koorg
    40 minutes (20 miles) from Omkareshwara Temple

    Start your day early and head to the Tadiandamol Peak, the highest peak in Koorg. You can choose to trek or take a jeep to the top. The view from the top is breathtaking and you can even spot some rare birds. After lunch, visit the Chelavara Falls, a beautiful waterfall surrounded by lush greenery. End your day with a visit to the Nalknad Palace, a historical palace that offers a glimpse into the lifestyle of the Kodava rulers.
