3-Day Itinerary for Goa in July 2023

  1. Day 1: Beach Day at Palolem Beach
    1 hour 35 minutes (42.3 miles) from Goa International Airport

    Palolem Beach is located in South Goa and one of the most beautiful beaches in Goa. Enjoy the beautiful white sand and crystal-clear water. You can also try your hands at kayaking, paddleboarding or just relax on the beach. In the evening, there are plenty of beachside restaurants and shacks where you can try some delicious seafood.

  2. Day 2: Explore Old Goa
    26 minutes (8.5 miles) from Palolem Beach

    Old Goa is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and home to some of the most beautiful churches in India. Start your day by visiting the Basilica of Bom Jesus, where the remains of St Francis Xavier are enshrined. Then, head to Se Cathedral, built to commemorate the victory of the Portuguese under Afonso de Albuquerque over a Muslim army, and St. Cajetan Church, inspired by the original design of St. Peter's Basilica in Rome.

  3. Day 3: Dudhsagar Waterfalls
    2 hours 10 minutes (47.1 miles) from Old Goa

    Dudhsagar Waterfalls is one of the highest waterfalls in India and located on the Mandovi River. You can take a guided tour to the waterfalls and enjoy a refreshing dip in the pool. Afterward, you can head to the spice plantation located nearby where you can learn about various spices and have a traditional Goan lunch.

Recommendations

If you're interested in history, a visit to the Fort Aguada, Chapora Fort, and Terekhol Fort can be an excellent addition to your itinerary. Goa also has some fantastic nightclubs and bars, and it's worth checking out some of the nightlife in Baga or Anjuna. A day trip to the neighboring state of Karnataka to visit the Gokarna or Hampi temples can also be enjoyable.
