Jammu and Kashmir 4-Day Family Friendly Itinerary in July 2023

  1. Day 1: Srinagar
    20 minutes (7.5 kilometres) from Srinagar International Airport

    Begin your trip in Srinagar by exploring the beautiful Mughal Gardens, Shalimar Bagh, and Nishat Bagh in the morning. Relax in a serene houseboat for lunch and enjoy a scenic ride on the Dal Lake during the afternoon. In the evening, visit the Hazratbal Shrine, one of the holiest Muslim shrines in India and enjoy the stunning view of the city from Shankaracharya Hill.

  2. Day 2: Gulmarg
    2 hours 30 minutes (56.8 kilometres) from Srinagar

    Take a gondola ride to Kongdoori Mountain in the morning and enjoy the breathtaking view of the Himalayas. Have lunch at the local restaurants and enjoy a pony ride in the afternoon. Skiers can also enjoy skiing in Gulmarg in July. In the evening, witness the beauty of the Alpather Lake and trek to Khilanmarg to see the beautiful wildflowers and wide-ranging mountain views.

  3. Day 3: Pahalgam
    2 hours 20 minutes (92.9 kilometres) from Gulmarg

    Start your day by visiting the Betaab Valley, named after the Bollywood movie "Betaab". Enjoy a pony ride or hike to Baisaran in Pahalgam in the afternoon and take in the stunning views of the valley. Visit the Amarnath Cave in the evening, which is a Hindu shrine and one of the most important pilgrimage sites in India.

  4. Day 4: Sonamarg
    2 hours 20 minutes (81.3 kilometres) from Pahalgam

    Visit the Thajiwas Glacier in the morning and enjoy a pony ride or trek to the glacier. Have lunch at the local restaurants and visit the Zojila Pass in the afternoon. In the evening, enjoy the beautiful sunset at the Bisansar Lake and Krishnasar Lake.
