Discovering Goa in July 2023

  1. Day 1: Anjuna Beach
    1 hour 3 minutes (18.5 km) from Dabolim Airport

    Morning: Head to Anjuna Beach for a refreshing dip in the sea. This beach has a unique rocky formation and is famous for its flea market, which is held every Wednesday. The market offers a variety of goods including clothes, jewelry, and souvenirs. It also has a wide selection of food stalls, where you can indulge in local delicacies.

    Afternoon: Head towards the Aguada Fort, which is located nearby. The fort offers a stunning view of the sea and has a rich history. Built-in the 17th century, it was used to protect against Dutch and Marathas invaders.

  3. Day 3: Old Goa and Calangute Beach
    1 hour 6 minutes (25.2 km) from Bondla Wildlife Sanctuary

    Morning: Visit Old Goa, which is a UNESCO World Heritage site. It was the former capital of Portuguese Goa and has a rich history. Visit the iconic Basilica of Bom Jesus and the Se Cathedral, which is one of the largest churches in Asia.

    Afternoon: Head towards Calangute Beach, which is located nearby. The beach is known for its long stretch of sand and water sports. Go parasailing, jet-skiing or simply relax on the beach.

    Evening: Explore the nearby market and indulge in some local street food.

  4. Day 4: Fort Aguada and Panaji City
    28 minutes (10 km) from Calangute Beach

    Morning: Visit Fort Aguada, which is located on the Sinquerim Beach. This fort was built-in the 17th century to protect against Dutch and Marathas invaders. It offers a panoramic view of the sea and is a perfect spot for photographs.

    Afternoon: Head towards the Panaji City, which is located nearby. Explore the beautiful Latin Quarter of Fontainhas, which is known for its colorful houses and architecture. Visit the famous Hindu temple, Shri Manguesh, and the Church of Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception.
