3-Day Itinerary for Adilabad in July 2023

  1. Day 1: Kala Ashram
    10 minutes (2.5 km) from Adilabad Bus Stand

    In the morning, visit Kala Ashram, a museum that showcases the rich and varied culture of the tribal communities residing in Adilabad. The museum exhibits tribal artifacts, art, and crafts. Afternoon, head to the beautiful Kadam Dam, located on the Kadam River. Enjoy a picnic and take in the scenic views. In the evening, visit the Basar Saraswathi Temple, located on the banks of the Godavari River, and take a boat ride to the island temple.

  2. Day 2: Jainath
    1 hour (50 km) from Adilabad Bus Stand

    Spend the morning visiting the Kala Ashram again if you missed anything the day before. Then, a 1-hour drive to the ancient Jainath temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva. Afternoon, visit the Kala Sarpa Temple, where you can see a snake bed, considered sacred. In the evening, head to the Pochera Waterfalls, located amidst dense forests and a popular picnic spot.

  3. Day 3: Kadam Dam and Kala Sarpa Temple
    20 minutes (8 km) from Kala Sarpa Temple

    Spend the morning at Kadam Dam and enjoy boating and fishing. Afternoon, visit the Kala Sarpa Temple again if you missed anything the day before. Finally, head to the beautiful Kuntala Waterfalls, the highest waterfalls in Telangana, and enjoy the serene surroundings.

Visit the Kunthala Fort, located near the Kunthala Waterfalls, for some historical insights. A day trip to the Shivaram Wildlife Sanctuary, located 70 km from Adilabad, can also be a delightful experience.
