2-Day Itinerary for Coorg and Chikmagalur in June 2023

  1. Day 1: Coorg

    Coorg, also known as Kodagu, is a beautiful hill station located in Southern India. Start your day with a visit to the Namdroling Monastery, the largest teaching center of Nyingmapa, a lineage of Tibetan Buddhism. Spend your afternoon exploring the Abbey Falls and Raja’s Seat, a picturesque garden located on a hilltop. In the evening, take a walk around the Madikeri Fort and enjoy the beautiful sunset.

  2. Day 2: Chikmagalur
    4 hours (200 km) from Coorg

    Chikmagalur is a scenic hill station surrounded by coffee plantations and lush green forests. Start your day with a visit to the Mullayanagiri Peak, the highest peak in Karnataka, for a stunning view of the sunrise. Spend your afternoon exploring the coffee estates and learning about the coffee-making process at the Coffee Museum. In the evening, visit the Hebbe Falls and enjoy a refreshing dip in the cool waters.

If you have time, consider visiting the Dubare Elephant Camp in Coorg, where you can get up close and personal with the gentle giants.
