Tirupathi 3-Day Itinerary for August 2023

  1. Day 1: Sri Venkateswara Temple
    10 minutes (3.0 km) from Tirupathi Central Bus Station

    Visit the sacred Sri Venkateswara Temple, one of the world's most visited pilgrimage sites. This temple is dedicated to Lord Venkateswara, an incarnation of Lord Vishnu. The morning is the best time to visit the temple, as the queues are shorter. Spend the afternoon exploring the temple, the courtyards and the beautiful surroundings. In the evening, attend the puja ceremony and watch the beautiful rituals, immerse yourself in the spirituality of this holy place.

  2. Day 2: Sri Vari Museum and Talakona Waterfall
    1 hour 20 minutes (58.5 km) from Sri Venkateswara Temple

    Start your day with a visit to Sri Vari Museum, which displays the history, culture and heritage of the Tirupathi-Tirumala region. Learn about the temple's architecture, rituals and traditions. Later in the afternoon, head to the Talakona Waterfall, the highest waterfall in Andhra Pradesh. The waterfall is about 270 feet high and is located amidst dense forest. You can take a dip in the cool waters and enjoy the natural beauty surrounding it. In the evening, return to Tirupathi.

  3. Day 3: Kapila Teertham and Srikalahasti Temple
    42 minutes (20.4 km) from Tirupathi Central Bus Station

    Start your day by visiting Kapila Teertham, a beautiful waterfall located amidst the picturesque hills of the Eastern Ghats. The waterfall is believed to have medicinal properties and is named after the great sage Kapila. After spending some time here, head to the ancient Srikalahasti Temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva. The temple is famous for its unique architecture and the shrine of Lord Shiva where he is worshiped as Vayu Linga. In the evening, return to Tirupathi and spend the night exploring the local markets and trying out the delicious Andhra cuisine.
