Begin your day with a visit to one of the 12 Jyotirlingas, Mahakaleshwar Jyotirlinga Temple. One of the most famous shrines in Ujjain, this temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva and is known for its unique Bhasma-Aarti (ash ritual) that takes place every morning. After the temple visit, head to the nearby Ram Ghat for a boat ride along the serene Shipra river. In the evening, visit the Kal Bhairav temple located nearby and try the famous local delicacies such as poha-jalebi, chaat and malpua from the street vendors.
