A Day in Vasco on a Shoestring Budget

   Located just a short drive from the Vasco market, the Indian Customs & Central Excise Museum offers a unique insight into customs and central excise history. It has a collection of seized goods, rare stamps, coins, and antiques on display.

4. 1:30PM: Lunch at Zeebop by the Sea

   Zeebop by the Sea is a popular shack restaurant located on the Uttorda Beach. The restaurant has a relaxed vibe and serves delicious seafood at an affordable price.

   The Our Lady of Merces Church is situated in the village of Colva. The church is famous for its annual Fama festival in which the statue of Our Lady is brought out in procession through the village streets.

7. 6:30PM: Sunset from Bogmalo Beach

   Bogmalo Beach is a small and serene beach in South Goa that is perfect for watching the sunset. There are a few shacks on the beach that offer drinks and snacks at reasonable prices.

Recommendations

If you have time, do visit the Naval Aviation Museum which is located just 2.3 miles from Bogmalo Beach. The museum has a collection of vintage aircraft, engines, and models of aircraft carriers.

For a day trip, you can visit the Dudhsagar Falls which is located about 43 miles from Vasco. The falls are one of the highest in India and are surrounded by lush green forests.

To maximize your fun, try to visit the beaches in the morning as they tend to get crowded in the afternoon. Also, try to bargain for the prices of goods and services as it is common in Goa.
