3-Day Family-Friendly Itinerary for Statue of Equality & Badrachalam in August 2023

  1. Day 1: Statue of Equality
    25 minutes (11.8 miles) from Rajiv Gandhi International Airport

    Inaugurated in April 2020, the Statue of Equality is a unique monument standing at 108 feet tall, representing the 108 Upanishads (ancient Hindu texts). The statue is made of white marble and depicts the great philosopher and social reformer, Ramanuja Acharya. Start your day by visiting this magnificent monument and take in the breathtaking views from the top. You can also explore the museum located inside the statue, dedicated to the life and teachings of Ramanuja Acharya. In the afternoon, visit the nearby Puri Jagannath Temple, a beautiful temple dedicated to Lord Jagannath. In the evening, visit the famous Golconda Fort and enjoy the light and sound show that tells the fort's rich history.

  2. Day 2: Bhadrachalam
    5 hours (190 miles) from the Statue of Equality

    Head towards the charming town of Bhadrachalam, nestled on the banks of the Godavari River.
