Four Day Family-Friendly Itinerary for Vrindavan, Barsana, Gokul, and Mathura in July 2023

  1. Day 1: Vrindavan
    12 minutes (2.2 miles) from Mathura

    In the morning, visit the Banke Bihari Temple to witness the darshan of Lord Krishna. Then, head to the Prem Mandir for its grandeur architecture and lighting effects. In the afternoon, take a stroll in the sacred garden of the ISKCON Temple and relish the vegetarian meal at their restaurant. In the evening, attend the Sound and Light Show at Keshi Ghat.

  2. Day 2: Barsana
    40 minutes (14.1 miles) from Vrindavan

    Visit the Radha Rani Temple in the morning to witness the grand celebrations of lathmar holi at Barsana. Later, explore the colorful painted houses and visit the Shriji Temple. In the afternoon, head to Nandgaon to visit the Nand Bhavan, home of Nand Baba where Lord Krishna was brought up, and the Pan Sarovar. In the evening, attend the aarti ceremony at the Radha Rani Temple.

  3. Day 3: Gokul
    20 minutes (8.5 miles) from Barsana

    In the morning, seek blessings at the Gokulnath Temple dedicated to Lord Krishna. Visit the Raman Reti, where Lord Krishna played with his friends. Then, head to Mahavan to visit the Mathura Wildlife SOS Elephant Conservation and Care Center. In the evening, enjoy the light and sound show at Gokul.

  4. Day 4: Mathura
    30 minutes (11.6 miles) from Gokul

    Begin your day with the darshan of Lord Krishna at the Dwarkadhish Temple. Next, visit the Mathura Museum to learn about the rich history of the city. In the afternoon, take a leisurely boat ride on the Yamuna river and visit the Vrindavan Chandrodaya Mandir. In the evening, head to Vishram Ghat to attend the Ganga Aarti ceremony.

Apart from the above itinerary, you can also visit Kusum Sarovar in Mathura, which is a beautiful sandstone monument surrounded by a tank.
