Kerala Bachelor Party: 3-Day Itinerary in July 2023

  1. Day 1: Kochi
    27 minutes (24 km) from Cochin International Airport

    Start your day with a visit to the historical Fort Kochi, a charming neighbourhood with colonial architecture and Chinese fishing nets. Check out St. Francis Church, the oldest European church in India, and the adjacent Dutch Palace. For lunch, head to one of the seafood restaurants on Princess Street. In the afternoon, take a ferry to Vypeen Island and hit Cherai Beach for some fun in the sun. As the evening rolls in, head back to Fort Kochi for some drinks at David Hall Gallery & Cafe or the popular Pepper House. End your night by dancing the night away at Ava Lounge.

  2. Day 2: Alappuzha
    1 hour 34 minutes (60 km) from Kochi

    Wake up early and head to Alappuzha, known as the "Venice of the East" for its beautiful canals and backwaters. Take a 3-hour houseboat ride through the backwaters, enjoying the scenery, local cuisine, and optional fishing and canoeing activities. For lunch, head to Indian Coffee House or Thaff Delicacy for some authentic Kerala cuisine. Spend the late afternoon exploring the quaint town by bicycle or tuk-tuk, visiting the famous Alappuzha Lighthouse, the ancient temple of Mullakkal Rajarajeswari, and the pretty Alleppey Beach. In the evening, relax and watch the sunset from Marari Beach with some cocktails. For dinner, head to Halais Restaurant or Dreamers Cafe and Restaurant.

  3. Day 3: Varkala
    2 hours 40 minutes (125 km) from Alappuzha

    End your trip with a visit to Varkala, a picturesque seaside town with cliffs, beaches, and temples. Start your day with a visit to Janardanaswamy Temple, a 2000-year-old shrine dedicated to Lord Vishnu. Take a dip in the Papanasam Beach, famous for its black sand and holy waters. For lunch, head to Cafe del Mar or Darjeeling Cafe for some international cuisine. Spend the afternoon exploring the cliffside North Cliff Beach, taking in the views, and shopping at the local boutiques. End your trip with a bang by partying at the popular Sky Lounge or The Lost Hostel.
