Bangkok is the capital of Thailand, and it is known for its street food, rich culture, and nightlife. Check into the hotel first and then visit Wat Phra Kaew and the Grand Palace, both within walking distance from each other. The palace was once the home to the kings and the royal court but serves as a popular tourist attraction today. After that, head over to Khao San Road, a great place to find local food, drinks, and party.
Chiang Mai is a city surrounded by mountains and lush greenery, and it’s known for its temples, markets, and outdoor adventures. Visit the Wat Phra That Doi Suthep, a mountain temple with a panoramic view of the city. Then, go to Nimmanhaemin Road, a trendy area with boutiques, cafes, and restaurants. At night, stop by the Chiang Mai Night Bazaar, where you can find a variety of souvenirs, street food, and live music.
Chiang Rai is a city located northeast of Chiang Mai, known for its temples and natural landscapes. Visit the White Temple (Wat Rong Khun), a unique temple made with white plaster that contrasts with the blue sky. Then, visit the Golden Triangle, the point where the border of Thailand, Laos, and Myanmar meet. At last, go to the Singha Park Chiang Rai, a scenic park with a farm, gardens, and an outdoor cafe.
Krabi is a southern province with coastal views, karst formations, and clear waters. Take a four-island hopping tour and visit Phra Nang Cave Beach, Tup Island, Chicken Island, and Poda Island. All these islands offer different attractions, such as swimming, sunbathing, cliff jumping, snorkeling, and kayaking.
Start your day with a relaxing beach walk at Railey Beach, a secluded beach with crystal-clear water and limestone cliffs. Then, take a boat to Krabi Town Night Market, a colorful market that sells local food, drinks, souvenirs, and clothes. If you’re still up for partying, head over to the Ao Nang bars and nightclubs.
Say farewell to Thailand and plan for your next adventure!
If you have more time, add a visit to the Elephant Nature Park, a sanctuary that rescues elephants from being mistreated or overworked. If you have less time, you can skip the Chiang Rai day trip and spend more time in Krabi or Bangkok. Don't forget to pack sunscreen, insect repellent, and comfortable shoes for outdoor activities. Be respectful of the Thai culture and customs, such as removing your shoes when entering temples and dressing appropriately in public areas.
