A 4-Day Adventure in Gujarat, Daman, Diu, Gir, Somnath, Dwarka, Statue of Unity, and Kutch

  1. Day 1: Statue of Unity
    3 hours (92 miles) from Ahmedabad

    In the morning, explore the 182-meter Statue of Unity, the tallest statue in the world. Afterwards, visit the Sardar Sarovar Dam, which provides hydroelectric power and irrigation to the region. In the afternoon, take a guided tour of the valley of flowers, which is home to over a hundred species of flowers. Finally, watch the Laser show at the statue in the evening, which tells the story of Sardar Patel's life.

  2. Day 2: Gir
    2 hours (42 miles) from Junagadh

    In the morning, experience a jeep safari in Gir National Park, home to the last remaining population of Asiatic Lions. In the afternoon, visit the Kamleshwar Dam and the Gir Interpretation Zone, where you can learn about the natural history of the area. Finally, visit the Somnath Temple in the evening, which is one of the twelve Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva.

  3. Day 3: Somnath and Dwarka
    2 hours (77 miles) from Gir

    In the morning, visit the Bhalaka Tirth, a holy site that is said to be the birthplace of Lord Krishna. Afterwards, visit the Dwarkadhish Temple, which is dedicated to Lord Krishna. In the afternoon, explore the Dwarka Beach and take a ride on a camel. Finally, watch the sunset at the Rukmini Devi Temple, which is surrounded by a scenic landscape.

  4. Day 4: Daman and Kutch
    3 hours (178 miles) from Dwarka

    In the morning, visit the St. Jerome Fort in Daman, which is a colonial-era fort that was built by the Portuguese. Afterwards, head to the Jampore Beach, which is known for its beautiful white sand and clear water. In the afternoon, journey to Kutch and visit the Great Rann of Kutch, the largest salt desert in the world. Finally, end your day at the Kala Dungar, the highest point in Kutch, and watch the sunset over the desert.

Consider visiting the Junagadh Zoo, where you can see Asiatic lions and other animals up close. Also, take a day trip to the beautiful Mandvi Beach, which is known for its calm waters and white sand. If you have extra time, explore the ancient city of Bhuj and visit the Aina Mahal.
