7-Day "Har Ki Dun" Adventure Itinerary for April 2024

  1. Day 1: Dehradun to Sankri
    7 hours (220 km) from Dehradun

    After reaching Sankri, you can explore the village and its unique architecture. Later, you can enjoy a cup of tea admiring the sunset view of the surrounding hills and valleys.

  2. Day 2: Sankri to Taluka
    1 hour (12 km) from Sankri

    Drive to Taluka and start the trek to Seema. You can stop at the beautiful Osla village for lunch and then proceed to Seema. After reaching Seema, you can visit the local temple and relax for the evening.

  3. Day 3: Taluka to Puani Garaat via Seema
    7 hours (15 km) from Taluka

    You will trek through the dense forest and cross many streams to reach Puani Garaat. You will have a chance to walk through the Har Ki Dun valley and admire the stunning snow-covered peaks.

  4. Day 4: Puani Garaat to Har Ki Dun
    3 hours (4 km) from Puani Garaat

    Today's trek is relatively short but challenging. The trek to Har Ki Dun will take you through steep climbs and rocky terrains. After reaching Har Ki Dun, you can enjoy the stunning views of the surrounding mountains and glaciers.

  5. Day 5: Rest day at Har Ki Dun

    You can spend today exploring the beautiful valley and admiring the views. You can also hike to the Jaundhar glacier, located at the base of Swargarohini peak.

  6. Day 6: Har Ki Dun to Osla
    6 hours (11 km) from Har Ki Dun

    Today, you will retrace your steps back to Osla village. You can visit the ancient Someshwar temple and explore the village's traditional architecture.

  7. Day 7: Osla to Sankri
    6 hours (14 km) from Osla

    This is your last day of trekking. You will reach Sankri and drive back to Dehradun. In the evening, you can explore the local markets and enjoy a well-deserved dinner.
