4-Day Motorcycle Riding Itinerary in Karnataka for August 2023

  1. Day 1: Coorg
    5 hours (145 miles) from Bengaluru

    Start your journey from Bengaluru to Coorg, a picturesque hill station with lush greenery, coffee plantations and waterfalls. In the morning, take a ride to Abbey Falls, a magnificent waterfall nestled amidst coffee bushes and spice estates. In the afternoon, visit the Namdroling Monastery, the largest teaching center of the Nyingma lineage of Tibetan Buddhism in the world, and admire the golden statues of Buddha. In the evening, explore the Raja's Seat, a garden with a breathtaking view of the hills and sunset.

  2. Day 2: Mysore

    Take a ride to Mysore, known for its rich history, magnificent palaces and vibrant culture. In the morning, visit the Mysore Palace, a grand palace that boasts of Indo-Saracenic architecture, intricate carvings and lavish interiors. In the afternoon, ride to the Chamundi Hills and climb up to the Chamundeshwari temple, an ancient temple dedicated to Goddess Chamundeshwari.   3. Day 3: Hampi

    Ride to Hampi, an ancient city that was once the capital of the Vijayanagara Empire. In the morning, explore the Virupaksha Temple, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, dedicated to Lord Shiva and known for its intricate carvings and sculptures. In the afternoon, ride to the Vittala Temple, another UNESCO World Heritage Site, known for its iconic stone chariot and musical pillars. In the evening, take a stroll along the Tungabhadra River and watch the sunset over the hills.

  4. Day 4: Gokarna
    6 hours 30 minutes (224 miles) from Hampi

    Ride to Gokarna, a serene coastal town famous for its pristine beaches and ancient temples. In the morning, visit the Mahabaleshwar Temple, an ancient temple dedicated to Lord Shiva and one of the seven sacred places of Hinduism. In the afternoon, relax at the Om Beach, a crescent-shaped beach known for its serene surroundings and water sports activities.
