3-Day Itinerary for Sakleshpura in July 2023

  1. Day 1: Manjarabad Fort
    20 minutes (5.7 miles) from Sakleshpura Town

    In the morning, explore Manjarabad Fort, a star-shaped fort built in the late 1700s. It offers a stunning view of the Western Ghats. For lunch, head to Kamath Restaurant in Sakleshpura Town and try their specialty, the Biryani.

    In the afternoon, visit the Kukke Subramanya Temple, a Hindu temple located in the Western Ghats mountain range. In the evening, take a stroll in the serene Manjehalli Waterfalls.

  2. Day 2: Green Route Trek
    45 minutes (14.6 miles) from Sakleshpura Town

    In the morning, start your trek on the Green Route Trek, an old railway track that winds through the Western Ghats. The trek takes around 3 hours and offers breathtaking views of the forest and hills. For lunch, try the traditional dishes at the Gundi Mane Homestay.

    In the afternoon, visit the Belur and Halebidu Temples, which are UNESCO World Heritage Sites. These temples are known for their intricate sculptures and beautiful architecture. In the evening, head back to Sakleshpura Town for some souvenir shopping at the local market.
