3-Day Itinerary for Hampi, Bellary in August 2023

  1. Day 1: Virupaksha Temple
    15 minutes (4.5 km) from Hampi Bazaar

    Visit the famous Virupaksha Temple in the morning, which is one of the oldest and most significant temples in Hampi. This temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva and displays the architectural excellence of the Vijayanagara Empire.   2. Day 2: Hampi Archaeological Museum

    Start your day by hiking to the top of Anjaneya Hill, which is believed to be the birthplace of Lord Hanuman. The hill offers panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. Afternoon can be spent at Sanapur Lake, located at the distance of 5.5 km from Anjaneya Hill, where you can indulge in coracle rides and fishing. In the evening, visit the Tungabhadra Dam and enjoy the sunset over the dam.
