Bangalore to Dudhsagar: A Nature Lover's Paradise

  1. Day 1: Bhadra Wildlife Sanctuary
    6 hours (280 km) from Bangalore

    Morning: Start your day early and make your way to Bhadra Wildlife Sanctuary. Spread over 490 sq. km, this sanctuary is home to many endangered species, including tigers, leopards, elephants, and gaurs. Take a jeep safari and enjoy the lush greenery and the animal sightings.

    Afternoon: Have lunch at the sanctuary canteen and then take a coracle ride on the Bhadra River. This is a unique experience and will give you a chance to see the animals from a different perspective.

    Evening: Take a guided trek to the Hebbe Falls and enjoy the beautiful scenery. You can also try some water activities at the falls, such as swimming or rafting.

  2. Day 2: Dudhsagar Falls
    6 hours (250 km) from Bhadra Wildlife Sanctuary

    Morning: Leave early in the morning and head towards Dudhsagar Falls. This waterfall is one of the highest in India and is located on the Mandovi River. Take the train from Castle Rock to Dudhsagar and enjoy the scenic route.

    Afternoon: Reach Dudhsagar Falls and spend the afternoon exploring the area. You can take a dip in the cool waters or hike to the top of the falls for a breathtaking view.

    Evening: After spending the afternoon at the falls, head back to Castle Rock and take the train back to Bangalore.

Recommendations

If you have more time, you can explore other nearby attractions such as Jog Falls, Coorg, or Gokarna. A day trip to the nearby Sakleshpur Hills is also worth considering.
