Five-Day Itinerary for Abu Rajasthan in December 2023

  1. Day 1: City Palace

Visit the Brahma Temple, one of the few temples dedicated to Lord Brahma, and take a dip in the holy Pushkar Lake. Evening: Watch the sunset from the Savitri Temple, located atop a hill overlooking the city.

  5. Day 5: Jaigarh Fort and Nahargarh Fort

    Morning: Visit the Jaigarh Fort, an impressive fort that houses the world’s largest cannon on wheels, the Jaivana Cannon. Enjoy the stunning views of the Aravalli Hills and the city from the top of the fort. Afternoon: Head over to Nahargarh Fort, located nearby, and explore the many palaces and temples within the fort. Evening: End your trip with a visit to the Birla Mandir, a beautiful temple made of white marble.

Recommendations

If you have more time, consider visiting the Ranthambore National Park for a chance to spot tigers and other wildlife. Also, take a day trip to Ajmer and visit the Dargah Sharif, a famous Sufi shrine.

To maximize your fun, try the local cuisine at LMB, Rawat Mishthan Bhandar, and Chokhi Dhani. Take a hot air balloon ride to see the city from above or go on a camel safari to explore the desert.
