4-Day Tirupati Itinerary in July 2023

  1. Day 1: Sri Venkateswara Swamy Temple

    Morning: Start your spiritual journey with a visit to the world-famous Sri Venkateswara Swamy Temple. Take a darshan and seek blessings from Lord Venkateswara. The temple is usually crowded, so it's advisable to book a special darshan ticket in advance to avoid long queues. Afternoon: Indulge in a delicious South Indian thali meal at the temple canteen. Post-lunch, take a walk around the temple and explore the nearby museum and ancient architecture. Evening: Explore the local market around the temple, where you can buy traditional silk sarees and handicrafts.

  2. Day 2: Sri Padmavathi Ammavari Temple
    25 minutes (6.3 km) from Sri Venkateswara Swamy Temple

    Morning: Visit the Sri Padmavathi Ammavari Temple, a Hindu temple dedicated to the goddess Padmavathi.   4. Day 4: Silathoranam and Sri Kapileswara Swamy Temple
    30 minutes (8.5 km) from Sri Govindaraja Swamy Temple

    Morning: Visit Silathoranam, a natural arch in the Tirumala Hills that is believed to be millions of years old. It is also known as the 'Swayambhu Vishnu Sila' and is considered sacred by locals. Afternoon: Visit the Sri Kapileswara Swamy Temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva. The temple is situated in the Kapila Theertham waterfall region and has a serene and peaceful atmosphere. Evening: Enjoy a beautiful sunset at the Chandragiri Palace, situated on the banks of the Swarnamukhi River.

Recommendations

If you have more time, you can consider visiting the Sri Kalyana Venkateswaraswami Temple, which is dedicated to Lord Venkateswara's wedding ceremony. Day trips to the Horsley Hills and Golden Temple in Vellore are also recommended.
