  1. Day 1: Kedarnath Temple
10 minutes (0.5km) from Kedarnath Bus Stand

Begin your journey with a visit to the famous Kedarnath Temple, one of the twelve Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva. The morning is the best time to visit as the temple is less crowded. Afternoon you can hike to Gandhi Sarovar, a picturesque lake amidst snow-capped mountains. In the evening, explore the local markets and enjoy some local cuisine.

  2. Day 2: Vasuki Tal
1 hour 30 minutes (8.6km) from Kedarnath Temple

Embark on a trek to Vasuki Tal, a high-altitude lake at 14,200 feet above sea level. The morning trek is a bit challenging, but you will be rewarded with breathtaking views of the Himalayas. Have a packed lunch by the lake and then head back to Kedarnath. In the evening, relax with a hot cup of tea while enjoying the sunset.

  3. Day 3: Bhairavnath Temple
20 minutes (1.2km) from Kedarnath Temple

Visit Bhairavnath Temple, dedicated to Lord Bhairav, a fierce manifestation of Lord Shiva. Make sure to carry an ID card to enter the temple premises. Afternoon, take a helicopter ride to the nearby town of Guptkashi and enjoy the panoramic views of the mountains. In the evening, stroll along the Mandakini river and enjoy the local street food.

  4. Day 4: Gaurikund
1 hour 15 minutes (31.4km) from Bhairavnath Temple

Drive to Gaurikund, the base camp for the trek to Kedarnath. Take a dip in the hot water springs, which is believed to have medicinal properties. Afternoon, visit Sonprayag, a scenic spot where two rivers meet. In the evening, enjoy a bonfire and some stargazing.

  5. Day 5: Kedar Dome
    1 hour 15 minutes (41.3km) from Gaurikund

Visit Kedar Dome, a snow-covered peak located at an elevation of 6,831 metres. It is a challenging trek and requires a permit from the authorities. If time permits, visit Triyuginarayan Temple, a beautiful temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu. In the evening, head back to Kedarnath and enjoy a warm cup of tea.
